There is only one key word: money. There are only money issues behind the murder of Margherita Ceschin, the 72-year-old pensioner beaten and suffocated in her apartment in Via 28 Maggio in Conegliano on the evening of June 23rd.
The motive: no longer paying child support
On the one hand Enzo Lorenzon, the woman’s ex-husband and instigator of the crime, who wanted to get rid of his wife so as not to pay the maintenance allowance of 10 thousand euros a month anymore, and on the other the gang of Dominicans who, with the promise of receiving a million euros in cash plus some houses in Santo Domingo have turned into murderers.
Investigations closed
Details that emerge from the notice of closure of investigations notified by the Treviso Prosecutor’s Office to Enzo Lorenzon, 79 years old from Ponte di Piave, and to the Dominicans Sergio Antonio Luciano Lorenzo (39 years old, considered one of the two material perpetrators of the murder) and Juan Maria Beltre Guzman (42, the intermediary). The dismissal has been requested for Lorenzon’s partner, the Dominican Dileysi Guzman Lorenzo: the objective of the investigators is to hear her as a witness in the trial.
The positions of three other suspects have been eliminated (including a new one), so they will proceed separately: these are Josè Luis Mateo Garcia, the second perpetrator of the crime arrested in Spain last January and extradited in April, Joel Luciano Lorenzo (brother of Sergio Antonio, still untraceable, who acted as a lookout on the evening of the crime), and Joel’s girlfriend, Kendy Maria Rodriguez.
