The regulation did not give any kind of hope: nothing to be done, there is no other path than defeat by default
The final phase of the season guarantees surprises also from the point of view of sporting justice. There was no doubt about what the outcome of the decision would be after what happened on the pitch.
In the championship of First Category of Campania the playoffs had a surprise outcome: one of the two semi-finals, in fact, the one that was supposed to be played last April 27th between Casapesenna and the Football Aversa it was not disputed. The reason is to be found in the absence of the visiting team: Football Aversa decided not to appear on the pitch without a reason and so the referee could not help but record the presence of the home team and refer any decision to the sports judge.
Decisions that have arrived and which, yes, have not given any surprises: defeat by default for Football Aversa which thus says goodbye to the playoffsleaving the road to Casapesenna.
First Category, Football Aversa defeated by forfeit
Based on the provisions of the art. 53- 2 paragraph -NOIF and art. 10- 1 paragraph CGS and CU n. 1 of 6.7.22 pg. 107, the sports judge has, in fact, inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Football Aversa, a club that was also sanctioned with a fine of 600 euros, “applied in a quadruple amount since it was the first renunciation occurred in the phases following the championship, on the Football club Aversa”.
By virtue of this decision, the punished team bids farewell to the playoffs, while Casapesenna flies to the final where they will face the Mondragonevictorious 4-2 in the other semifinal of the playoffs of Group A of the Campania First Category championship.
