Varignano celebrating

A great event capable of involving an entire territory with all its associative, scholastic, sporting and aggregative forces. On Saturday 4 May from 3.00pm to 6.00pm “Varignano in festa” will take place, which will have its center in the external spaces of the “Franca Papi” secondary school but will see the participation and contribution of many associations in the neighborhood, testimony that Varignano, hit in recent months by some cases of thefts and break-ins, is not a marginal area but a place full of possibilities and alive from all points of view.
The first act of the day will be the start of a team treasure hunt which will see teams of kids moving through various places in the neighborhood (the oratory of the parish of the Resurrection, the “Il Fienile” club, the “Dorando Pietri” sports hall with the SPV Viareggio and the association “Pancho Villa Popular School” with the support of the Viareggio 3 group of the “Agesci”) to undergo theoretical quizzes and practical tests with the aim of making known the characteristics and curiosities of the places visited, of the neighborhood itself and of the city. At the same time as the treasure hunt, which is organized by the social promotion association “Il Cappello”, in the gym and school garden of the “Papi” various sports clubs will allow the children to try out their disciplines and will hold demonstrations of their activities: they will be present the DLF Viareggio with table tennis, the “Taekwondo Viareggio”, the oratory “It’s more beautiful together” on the five-a-side football pitch, the “TDL Athletics” with running, jumping and throwing activities, the “Volleyball Oasis”. There will be stands and gazebos for all the sports involved and there will also be an information point managed by Informagiovani. All the bodies involved and above all the “Agapè” association have made prizes available for the treasure hunt and, thanks also to the participation of some parents and volunteers, at the end of the afternoon a tasty snack will be offered to all participants, in full community spirit that has always characterized the neighborhood.
