Saluzzo – Meeting
Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May

The weekend between 4th and 5th May will bring the traditional “rudunà” to Saluzzo, a prologue to the climb to the mountain pastures of farmers from the Saluzzo area and beyond. Over 100 animals will parade twice in the beautiful city center of Saluzzo: a concert of cowbells, the proud eyes of those who show their work to the public, the emotion of those around who observe that very special walk! Opening at 4pm: Animal Exhibition and local products area. The event is organized by the Municipality of Saluzzo with A.RE.MA Margari Regional Association. Here is the whole program.

Saluzzo – The city revealed
Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May

On Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May the city of Saluzzo, the ancient capital of the marquisate, opens its doors throughout the weekend to reveal unique spaces. Alongside the museums and churches which are already part of the usual tourist circuits, four sites normally not open to the public or little known will be exceptionally accessible with a guided tour. Vigna Ariaudo, Palazzo dei Conti Della Chiesa d’Isasca, Gardens of the Palazzo dei Marchesi del Carretto and Casa Vacca: spaces that can be visited for a single occasion will be flanked by places of great beauty that will once again offer reason for a visit. A unique opportunity to walk inside the beauty of Saluzzo and discover it step by step. There will be four sites that can be visited, by reservation only: VIGNA ARIAUDO, PALAZZO DEI CONTI DELLA CHIESA, GARDENS OF THE PALACE DEI MARCHESI DEL CARRETTO and CASA VACCA.

Cuneo – Shakabum Day
Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May

Shakabum Day, the street art festival now in its fourteenth edition, returns to liven up the city of Cuneo on 4 and 5 May. A wave of artistic activities that will invade the city center, ranging from circus art to painting, with the exhibition of local talents and artists established on a national and international level. Appointment open to all, in via Roma, Piazza Boves and Largo Audiffredi with free entry. In case of bad weather the event will be held in Piazza Seminario.

TEDXCUNEO
Saturday 4 May

On Saturday 4 May starting from 2.30pm TEDxCuneo returns for the fourth consecutive year in a suggestive location: the Monumental Complex of San Francesco, where the speakers will take turns on stage for the event, also broadcast in streaming. This year the theme will be “Metamorphosis – ideas in transformation”, and will give voice to the stories of people who have created change thanks to their ideas. This year, in addition to the main venue, there is a widespread and free screening in Cuneo (a hamlet of Roata Rossi and the Donatello district) and in Saluzzo, which can be accessed by reservation. Fossano – Concert Arrigo Boito “in pink”
Saturday 4 May

Saturday 4 May at 9.00 pm in Fossano, at the Cathedral of San Giovenale and S. Maria, traditional concert by the “Arrigo Boito” music school in honor of the city’s patron saint. The eighteenth-century work designed by Quarini and the magnificent subsequent interventions of gilding, paintings, fake marbles, friezes and stucco decorations represent an ideal setting for one of the most important concert events in the city, with a repertoire that touches on different musical genres and for the occasion , particular attention to the arrival of the 3rd stage of the Giro d’Italia 2024. Mondovì – Concert
Saturday 4 May

On Saturday 4 May at 9pm, in the splendid baroque setting of Sala Ghislieri, Mondovì Musica offers a concert entirely focused on the sacred works of Johann Sebastian Bach. The great protagonists of this concert will be the soloists, the choir and the ensemble of original instruments of the Department of Ancient Music of the “Antonio Vivaldi” Conservatory of Alessandria, a large vocal and instrumental formation which under the guidance of Daniele Boccaccio, harpsichordist and director of clear fame within the pre-romantic repertoire, will lead the audience by the hand to discover some of the most shining gems of Bach’s sacred production. The “highlight” of the evening consists of the cantata Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit (God’s time is the best time) BWV 106, a short funeral cantata composed in 1707 and also known by the title Actus tragicus, which in the ensemble The instrumental also features two recorders and two viola da gamba, which contribute to sublimating the pain of the loss of a loved one with sounds of unattainable expressive intensity and surprising brightness. Mondovì – Two steps for autism
Saturday 4 May

On Saturday 4 May Mondovì returns to host “2 steps for autism”, an event organized by the Team Marguareis sports association together with Autism Help Cuneo OdV. An always eagerly awaited event (which in its fifth edition for the first time in its history will take place on Saturday and not Sunday) which also this year includes competitive running and solidarity walking suitable for everyone. Registration for the walk for adults (including participation in the subsequent “Street Party” and “Autism Help” backpack with the rich race kit inside) costs 15 euros and is free for children up to 6 years old (without “race package”). Furthermore, every adult couple who registers with a child up to 6 years old will be entitled to a 3 euro shopping voucher for the “Street Party”. Busca – Entertainment
Saturday 4 May

On Saturday 4 May at 9pm at the Teatro Civico in Busca, the show TWO WOMEN… MAYBE TRE!, produced by Le Cercle Rouge di Busca, will be staged, featuring Luca Armando, Leonora Arnolfo, Mariella Caporaso, Claudia Ponzalino, Corrado Vallerotti , directed by Costantino Sarnelli, while the dramaturgy is by Laura Chiotasso. We will talk about female emancipation through the experience of theater: three auditions of three women who find themselves in front of male examiners. Polonghera – Agnolotto festival
From May 3rd to 5th

From 3 to 5 May Polonghera celebrates two typical specialties: agnolotto and canestrello. In ancient times, these two dishes were served during moments of celebration. The three days will also be an opportunity to raise awareness, rediscover and enhance the Polongarese territory, not only for its gastronomic traditions, but also for everything that is part of it. Cuneo – Pink Randonné
Sunday 5 May

Sunday 5 May 2024 in Cuneo, waiting for the Giro d’Italia, the 130 kilometer Randonnée Rosa and the 80 kilometer cycling tour arrive. The route departing from Cuneo passes through the surroundings of the capital and the Monregalese territory. 8am: meeting of Randonnée and cycle tourism participants; 9 am: departure, passage in the Cuneo lounge, refreshment for both routes at the Gala Palace in Frabosa Sottana, lunch and lottery on arrival.

Cuneo – Concert for peace
Sunday 5 May

The “Concert for Peace 2024” will be held on Sunday 5 May, at 9.00 pm, at the Toselli Theater in Cuneo. The artists of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples Michele Maddaloni, Giuseppe Todisco and Lodovico Camarda, together with the sopranos Fernanda Costa, teacher at the Ghedini Conservatory, and Rita La Vecchia of the Teatro Regio in Turin, will pay homage to Giacomo Puccini, considered one of the most significant opera artists of all time, 100 years after his death. Marene – Stradegustando
Sunday 5 May

“Stradegustando” returns to Marene on Sunday 5 May, a food and wine and solidarity journey in stages, immersed in the greenery of the Marene countryside. A walk passing through Borgonuovo, the Sant’Antonio, Teitotti, Bindlata, La Bassea, Mondini and the Tetti San Bernardo hamlets to taste the local products at each stop and to enhance a careful selection of high quality beef from the breed Piedmontese. Practical info: departure – from 9.30 to 13.00 from Piazza Carignano in Marene. Tickets on sale at the Proloco Marene in Via Gallina, 40 in Marene starting from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm until all available tickets are sold out. The event will take place in any weather condition as the various stages are indoors.

Cherasco – Personal exhibition
Until May 19th

The ancient rooms of Palazzo Salmatoris will host the exhibition until May 19th “Roberto Demarchi. Of nature”, organized by the Cherasco Cultura Association in collaboration with the Municipality. The exhibition is a journey that winds from “Perì Physeos” (which reflects on the birth of Western thought and in particular on that of the pre-Socratic philosophers) to the section “Art and the Sacred. Abstract Gospels”, from the “Hermeneutics of art” (in which Demarchi interprets works of the figurative, musical and literary arts of great masters of the past through the use of his own pictorial language) to the “Genesis of art” («The history of art seen through the eyes of a painter -philosopher who chose to play alone in the borderlands”, wrote the great critic Antonio Paulucci in this regard) until reaching some of the artist’s early works, which declare his first moments and interests dedicated to drawing and painting . Born in Turin, Roberto Demarchi was a professor of art history, while practicing the profession of architect. Over the years, he has cultivated an in-depth study of philosophy, literature and music, alongside his activity as a lecturer.

The exhibition will be open to visitors, with free admission, on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3pm to 7pm; Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 7pm. For information contact the Municipality’s tourist office on 0172-42.70.50.
