Fiumicino, Fassino investigated for duty free theft

Piero Fassino is registered in the register of suspects by the Civitavecchia prosecutor’s office for theft charges. According to what has been learned, the formalization of the crime hypothesis was made to protect the PD parliamentarian himself. The Polaria investigators, meanwhile, have brought to the attention of the investigators the information with the testimonies of six people – 5 women and 1 man – who implicate Fassino for having attempted to steal a package of perfume worth around 100 euros .

The procedure which sees parliamentarian Piero Fassino under investigation in Civitavecchia could also end with a request for dismissal due to the ‘particular tenuousness of the fact’. Under examination by the deputy prosecutor Alessandro Gentile, Polaria’s report, however, concerns both the event which occurred on 15 April at the duty free at Fiumicino airport and was filmed by a security camera and what was stated by the witnesses regarding two other similar events, one during the Christmas holidays and the other on March 27th. In the coming weeks, Fassino’s interrogation could also be requested for the magistrate’s attention in order to find an overall solution to the matter.
