La Salle murder, France authorizes extradition of suspect

The young man must also appear before French judges for previous accusations of mistreatment against the now deceased girl

The 21-year-old suspected of killing the 22-year-old Auriane Nathalie Laisne, found dead in the small abandoned church of Equilivaz in La Salle on 5 April, could be extradited to Italy.

The Chambre d’Instruction of the Court of Appeal of Grenoble – according to what Ansa reports – has authorized the procedure requested by Italy in the context of the murder investigation followed by the Aosta prosecutor’s office.

Sohait Teima, an Italian-Egyptian from Fermo, was arrested in Lyon last April 10 for violating the restrictive measures imposed on him by the French authorities while awaiting a trial, set for May 3, for violence and threats against the dead girl. . The young man was therefore reached by the European arrest warrant requested by Italy as he was believed to be the perpetrator of the femicide. He declared himself innocent.

Before extradition, the 21-year-old will appear in court on domestic violence charges.
