ANCONA – Young mother of twins calls i carabinieri because he no longer has anything to eat and he doesn’t have the money to pay the utilities, the Lions Club of Ancona immediately comes to his aid.
This morning, Thursday 2 May, a delegation from the Ancona Host Lions Club made up of its president, Gianni Giaccaglia, the service manager, Annalisa Galeazzi, and the club’s communications manager delivered 12 prepaid cards worth 50 euros each to the Social Policies department of the Municipality of Ancona to support the woman non-EU citizen, mother of 2 and a half year old twins, who Last March 29, on the eve of Easter, she had requested the intervention of the Ancona police because she was left without food and utilities. This is a small, but significant, gesture that will allow her to immediately take care of her children, giving her the possibility of using prepaid cards in all “Yes with you” brand supermarkets.
The social workers in charge of the young mother’s case will deliver the cards in the next few hours. Great gratitude on the part of the municipal administration, already involved in an inclusion project for the mother, so that she can quickly learn the Italian language and enter the world of work. As soon as the news of the police intervention at the home of the family in difficulty was heard, the Board of Directors of the Ancona Host Lions Club took action to give, as often happens, concrete help to the woman and her children. Marche Soc.Coop.- Supermercati Yes with you for the precious contribution given to this service thanks to the application of advantageous discounts which has allowed us to reach such a considerable number of prepaid cards and a budget of 600 euros for the purchase of goods essential for mothers and children. The police who intervened after the woman’s report moved immediately to go and buy her food.
