04/22/2024 – The Municipality of Pavia announces the start of SEND – Digital Notification Service: the new technological platform, created by PagoPA SpA and launched last July together with the Department for digital transformation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, is today active thanks to the resources of the PNRR also within the municipal administration, to digitize and simplify the legal notification of administrative documents, with savings for public spending, lower notification burdens for citizens and a more effective user experience.
Through a standard system, usable in the same way throughout the territory, the introduction of SEND combines the ordinary analogue process with a new digital process which expands the possibilities for sending, receiving, managing, controlling and storing communications with legal value, with greater efficiency and safety for the benefit of administrations and their users.
On the one hand, SEND relieves entities of all obligations related to the notification process and guarantees the certainty of the recipient’s availability; in fact, it is the platform itself that has the burden of carrying out all the activities for completing the notification from the moment the document is filed digitally, with consequent savings in time and management costs. Furthermore, since SEND is natively integrated with the national index of INAD digital domiciles, its adoption saves institutions from further dedicated integration activity.
With the adoption of SEND by the Municipality of Pavia for sending notifications relating to violations of the highway code and assessments of taxes such as IMU and TARI, citizens who wish will be able to choose to manage these communications with legal value entirely digitally, from receipt to payment of the relevant amounts, where applicable.
