With “Spring in Sorrento” a new event organized by Coldiretti Campania arrives, three days of joy and zero kilometer products arrive in the heart of the most important tourist resort in the Neapolitan province.
The program includes many events aimed at visitors of all age groups. Guaranteed fun with the activities of the Agri-kindergarten and the educational farm. Unforgettable flavors with the products of the “Campagna Amica” market companies and lots of street food to satisfy every palate. It starts tomorrow (Friday 3 May 2024) and continues until Sunday.
The program includes educational workshops and focuses on agri-food products, an effective format that satisfies all visitors. “There is more and more attention towards this type of event. Both the large events like the one last December in Naples and those held in towns with smaller numbers like the one last week in Castellammare di Stabia, make it clear how young and old alike welcome the return to the true values of the agricultural vocation of our country. In the Campagna Amica market there are many products that come from the area between Castellammare di Stabia and Sorrento, which have always been tourist attractors both for the beauty of the places and for the goodness of the agri-food excellence” commented the director of Coldiretti Campania Salvatore Loffreda and the president of Coldiretti Napoli Valentina Stinga.
The little ones will be welcomed by the Agrikindergarten and the educational farm with many animals. They will be involved in numerous activities to learn about the value of the land and biodiversity as well as tasting the best food “made in Campania”. The initiative is promoted by Coldiretti Campania in synergy with the Campania and Molise Breeders Association and the Municipality of Sorrento. An important role is also played by the Monti Lattari Onlus Foundation of the lawyer Mariella Verdoliva, at the forefront when it comes to promoting the protection of the territory, the environment and its typical features.
Saturday morning workshop for special children of the Aias Rehabilitation Centre. Coldiretti and the Monti Lattari Foundation are waiting for all the children who intend to get involved with their families in an event where nature will be the teacher. From 10.30 to 12.30 in Piazza Lauro there will be a sensorial and musical laboratory to discover the resources of the area.
Rita Ruocco’s company, coordinator of the Coldiretti Women, will instead show how a lemon plant is born, starting from the planting of bitter orange seeds.
