The first “green” event in Piacenza fills Spazio4.0, now the second appointment at the orchard with natural wines, agroecology and music. An excellent start for the first of the three days of the Homegrown Festival – Arts and Green in Piacenza, organized by Cosmonauti Aps and inaugurated on Sunday 28 April in the municipal meeting center in via Manzoni. A day dedicated to participation, opened by the excursion to the urban places of the Liberation, continued at the Ciclofficina sociale Pignone with the construction of a cycle cultivator for the care of vegetable gardens and gardens and concluded by the notes of Cumbia offered by Gigi Proiettile’s DJ set.
Free initiatives open to all citizens to get to know and experience the green areas of the city, again on Sunday 12 May at the Frutteto degli Orti di Santa Maria di Campagna (via Tramello 15, Piacenza).
The program of the second day of the Homegrown Festival starts at 9 am with a practical lesson on agroecology and sustainable production models, created in collaboration with the Piacenza agricultural company “Il Filo di Salice” (booking required by filling out the form at this link https ://shorturl.at/abvw2 or by writing an email [email protected]). At 5.30 pm the orchard hosts the tasting of natural wines organized by the Seminario Permanente Luigi Veronelli association, a historical reality of excellence in the valorisation of wine culture (reservation required by filling out the form at this link https://shorturl.at/oDGT8 or by writing an email [email protected]). At 6.30 pm the aperitif dedicated to the workshop participants and the concert open to the public will begin: on stage the blues sounds of Max De Bernardi & Veronica Sbergia.
«Each activity is designed to offer a different opportunity for contact with nature, from the practices for taking care of it to its products, as well as the possibility of freely enjoying a green lung still unknown to many, such as the orchard garden of Santa Maria di Campaign» explains Giulio Merli, founding member of Cosmonauti Aps. «The Homegrown Festival also gives us the opportunity to exchange experiences and network the many entities active in caring for the environment, with a view to socialization aimed at people of all ages, including the most vulnerable categories» .
The Homegrown Festival 2024 is created thanks to the contribution of the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation, with the patronage of the Municipality of Piacenza.
