Umbria Region pre-adopts Hunting Calendar 2024 – 2025

The Umbria Region in an official note confirms the agreement reached with the category representatives on hunting calendar 2024 – 2025 during the meeting of the Hunting Faunistic Council.

Further details are given on the next hunting season which will open with the pre-opening on Sunday 1st September.

The general start of the hunt is set for Sunday 15 September 2024, the third Sunday of the month, and the closing on 30 January 2025, as required by national law. The single opening throughout the regional territory for wild boar hunting is confirmed, set for Sunday 20 October 2024 and closing on 19 January 2025.

Pre-opening:

On Sunday 1st September, wild turtle doves will be hunted, exclusively from a hide, using the specific web application to suspend hunting activities once the game bag set for the Umbria region is reached. Furthermore, Ispra was asked for an opinion on the possibility of extending the pre-opening, by way of derogation, to the transfer.
It is also the department’s intention to request an opinion on the possibility of including the gray crow and the magpie in the pre-opening phase.
