Croatian striker Mate Antunovic reached double figures with Monza Primavera (20 years old) is doing well with the Brianza youth team but Palladino has not yet given him the chance to make his debut with the first team. Arriving in August on loan with the right to buy from Hajduk Spalato, until now the 2004 class has only found space in the Primavera team, under the orders of coach Alessandro Lupi first and (since March) Oscar Brevi then.

At Hajduk Split there are those who are already looking at Antunovic’s trajectory with a certain regret and, with the team fighting for the national title, some local newspapers underline the mistake made by the Croatian club in letting him go too soon and leaving his fate in the hands of Monza. The last goal scored against Milan Primavera brought the spotlight back on him.

According to what has been learned, in fact, the Brianza team can decide whether to buy out the very young striker by paying 1.5 million euros into Hajduk’s coffers. And it is not a simple option: according to what has been learned, in fact, the permanent purchase of Antunovic for Monza will become effective as soon as the 2004 born player sets foot on the pitch with the first team. Perhaps this is also why the red and white club still makes all the necessary assessments.
