With “Outsiders” dance celebrates the Venetians of Maremma

Grosseto: The event created by Consortium of Author Dance Choreographers/Francesca Selva Company and achieved thanks to the fundamental contribution of Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze Foundation uses the universal language of dance to tell the stories of the descendants of Venetian immigrants who repopulated Alberese in the 1930s

Dance is a universal language chosen to celebrate the history of the descendants of the Venetian immigrants who in the 1930s populated and contributed to reclaiming the lands of the Alberese area, transforming them into rich and fertile land and still today the heritage of the entire Grosseto Maremma.

Friday 3 and Saturday 4 May from 5.30 pm onwards, at the Strada dei Magazzini in Alberese, after a guided tour of the places of memory of that emigration and an aperitif based on typical local products, the shows of the Venetian dance companies will be staged Naturalis Labor and ErsiliaDanza and the resident company Con.Cor.DA/Compagnia Francesca Selva.

The company resident with will open the evenings the performance “Outsiders” a production supported by the MIC and the Tuscany Region, interpreted by the dancers Luciano Nuzzolese Claudia Mazziotti on the choreography of Francesca Selva. A tribute to the concept of travel understood as an internal journey and life change and not just as a journey through time and space. An intense and poignant pas de deux inspired by the history of the Venetians of Maremma will accompany the story created with interviews by Luigi Zannetti. This will be followed by “Più forte di me” by the Ersilia Danza Company directed by Laura Corradi and choreographed by Gessica Perusi and Tommaso Cera. A passionate reflection on the concept of the border between love and tolerance, between anger and tenderness. The ‘Pezzi Fragili’ event closes with the show by the Naturalis Labor Company. Emotional, subtle, poetic, born almost instinctively, it tells the story of two people who find themselves close and ready for a hypothetical journey. A profound sharing, two unknown people who realize how important one is to the other. The interpreters Roberta Piazza and Andrea Rizzo tell a love story that is also a story of humanity.

In case of rain, the event on May 3rd will be held in the Cinema Room of the Pro Loco of Alberese (confirmation for those who have booked will arrive via WhatsApp).

“Ai Veneti di Maremma” is conceived by the Consorzio Choreografi Danza d’Autore/ Compagnia Francesca Selva as part of the Nexstage project and perfected in Cassero On Fest 2024 and created thanks to the fundamental contribution of the Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze Foundation, the collaboration with the Le Mura Le Orme, Pro loco Alborensis and Maremma Park and the patronage of the Municipality of Grosseto, the Tuscany Region, the Ministry of Culture and the contribution of the Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze Foundation.
