Modena, 2 May. (askanews) – Italy is “the best brand for any type of production”. As has happened with other sectors that have gone against the trend and instead of producing abroad to save costs have remained in our country, motor companies must also understand that “we must increasingly produce in Italy”. This was said by the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, who at the Motor Valley Fest in Modena, pressed by reporters, returned to the matter linked to the change of name of the latest model presented by Alfa Romeo “Junior” which is produced in Poland. “We are absolutely convinced that Italy is the best brand for any type of production – explained Urso -, this has been demonstrated by the producers of food, clothing and furniture products. When the others told us, already over twenty years ago , that we would have had to close our factories because others were in a position to make those products at lower cost, those who produced our country’s food, clothing, textiles, footwear, furniture went against the trend of the world and we have become producers of beauty, good and well made, of Italian excellence as everyone recognizes us”. According to the minister, “this must also be a lesson for us with regards to cars: everyone recognizes the Italian brand in these cars, the best brand for their ability to combine identity and innovation, and I believe that this must help us today strong in understanding that we must increasingly produce in Italy”.
