Municipality of Crotone – Toponymy

The City Council, on the proposal of the councilor for Toponymy Giovanni Greco, approved a series of naming of city streets and buildings.

The provision follows the opinion of the Toponymy Commission and, as required by law, the required authorization will be requested from the Prefecture to proceed with the naming.

In memory of Monsignor Giuseppe Agostino, already archbishop of the city, a part of via Miscello da Ripe will be named in the section which goes from via C. Colombo to Piazza Carlo Turano.

TO Giulio Nicoletta (1921-2009), silver medal for Military Valor, the stretch of road on via R. Geremicca that goes from the Bastione Castello descent to via Felice Materna.

TO Francesco Paglia, gold medal for civil valor the stretch of road adjacent to Piazza Martire delle Foibe that goes from via mons. A. Bello in via Giordano Bruno.
