“See Naples and then eat” closes with 4,500 participants

Fourteen events in six monumental places of the city to discover the art and history of Neapolitan cuisine. The second edition of the “See Naples and then eat” event, conceived, promoted and financed by the Department of Tourism and Productive Activities of the Municipality of Naples, closes with 4,500 participants.

Conferences, show cooking, tastings and artistic performances characterized the individual events, in the perspective of experiential tourism that allowed citizens and tourists to participate in an extraordinary event. The mayor Gaetano Manfredi and the councilor for Tourism and Productive Activities, Teresa Armato, were enthusiastic and promised a third edition, recognizing that the beauty of these events also influences the large flow of tourists arriving in the city.

The supervision of the exhibition was entrusted to the anthropologist Marino Niola who, together with speakers and chefs, guided the guests to discover the history and flavor of the mussels of Holy Thursday, the margherita, the parmigiana, the casatiello, the pastiera, the fried San Giuseppe zeppole, minestra maritata, classic and vegetarian meatballs, Genoese meatballs, cod, chocolate and coffee, baked pasta and pasta and peas. Grand finale with Neapolitan lasagna served with wines from the “La Guardiense” and “Giglio del Gatto” wineries and the artistic performance of “Promenade a Sud” with Matteo Mauriello. VIDEO ABOVE
