The exhibition opens on May 5th, at the National Gallery of Cosenza, at 5.30 pm Nature, dedicated to the artist Antonio Pujia Veneziano and edited by Andrea Romoli Barberini And Domenico Piraina.

The scheduled event intends to «promote a renewed awareness and a more widespread environmental, social and economic sensitivity through the languages ​​of art» and is integrally part of the activities contemplated by the Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape, which identifies museums , libraries, archives, archaeological areas and parks as places of culture intended for public fruition and enjoyment, providing above all forms and methods for the non-onerous use of movable and immovable assets for temporary events and initiatives.

The curators are expected to speak at the inauguration TOndrea Romoli Barberini and Domenico Piraina, as well as the director Dr Rossana Baccariin the presence of the artist.

Until June 2, therefore, it will be possible to admire the works on canvas and paper in various sizes together with ceramics, belonging to the different periods of the artist’s research on the themes of Nature and the current, yet widespread, environmental sensitivity, filtered through the language of contemporary art.

The National Gallery, directed by Dr. Rossana Baccari, is located in Palazzo Arnone in which the works of the most important painters born in Calabria and Neapolitan artists are exhibited, together with the nucleus consisting of the works of Mattia Preti and Luca Giordano. Equally significant is the section of graphic works by Umberto Boccioni and various collections. Up to the contemporary artistic expressions of the territory with the works of Cesare Berlingeri, Giulio Telarico and Alfredo Pirri.

The National Gallery of Cosenza, through the concession of spaces, implementing the principle of horizontal subsidiarity inspired by art. 118 of the Constitution, concretely becomes the privileged place for research, experimentation, public debate and community meetings. The event includes the publication of a monographic catalogue, with texts by the curators Andrea Romoli Barberini, professor of History of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and Domenico Piraina, director of Palazzo Reale in Milan, which has the objective of presenting and supporting the work of over fifty years of research by Pujia Veneziano who, despite operating far from the accredited art circuits, in which artists are more easily and more often rewarded by the market and success, has distinguished himself among the professionals for its current and original language.
