The M5S territorial group expresses solidarity with the organizers of Varese Pride for the offensive and untruthful statements expressed during the discussion relating to the concession, denied, of the patronage of the traditional event within the Provincial Council of 29 April.
Pride, in Varese, has always been characterized by being a festive moment of meeting and reflection on the importance of guaranteeing civil rights to every citizenin full compliance with article 3 of our Constitution, which states: “All citizens have equal social dignity and are equal before the law, without distinction of sex, race, language, religion, political opinions, conditions personal and social”.
Based on this, we would have considered the support of the initiative from the Province of Varese to be importantas a local institution.
As 5 Star Movementthis year too we will be present with our flags at Pride to express an idea of inclusion and respect inspired by our values and those expressed by the Constitution.
