REGGIO CALABRIA – Great public participation in the initiatives organized on the occasion of the “First May Reggio” . Throughout the day, in fact, starting from the “Ciccio Franco” Arena, up to the “Italo Falcomatà” seafront and the streets of the city center were filled with thousands of citizens and tourists who had the opportunity to appreciate the beauties of the city, creating a virtuous circuit for many restaurateurs and commercial establishments. The Arena show was packed from early afternoon to late evening.
Appreciate the performances of artists who addressed a varied audience capable of embracing multiple generations. In fact, the icons of Italian pop music such as Orietta Berti and Iva Zanicchi were highly applauded, the appreciation for Chile, Maninni, Shark and Groove, Carbohydrates, Arma, Moreno, Comete and Crash King. Closing the event were Datura, a historic techno, dance and electronic group, who made people from Reggio dance in the evocative and inimitable panorama of the Strait.
To complete the day, the other two events organized in synergy with the Municipality of Reggio Calabria and the sports organizations operating in the area. In the morning, again on the coast of the city center, the “1° Criterium Lungomare Falcomatà” cycling race took place, while in the afternoon the national finals of the 5-a-side Football Regions Tournament concluded at the PalaCalafiore in Pentimele, which also saw the selection triumph of Calabria, Italian Under 19 champion. A quality proposal, therefore, widely recognized by the public and critics, which has, in fact, opened the season of events that will accompany Reggio Calabria in the summer now upon us.
