The Carabinieri of the Modica Marina Station. Last weekend, they followed up on an execution order for imprisonment, issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Appeal of Catania, against a 42-year-old local man, separated, unemployed and with police prejudice against him.
The provision arises following the reform of the sentence, which became final last February, of the Court of Ragusa against the subject of operational interest who, due to the continuous mistreatment and aggravated personal injuries perpetrated within the family, was taken to the prison of Ragusa, where he will serve a residual sentence of just over 5 months in prison. The young man was the recipient of today’s provision due to the conduct he carried out in the period between May 2019 and December 2021 in the city of Pozzallo.
The investigative activity carried out by the soldiers of the Carabinieri provided useful elements to the Judicial Authority so that it could proceed with a correct legal framework of the criminal case in question which, consequently, allowed the competent bodies to issue today’s provision.
