Renamed Lex, the connection will connect the ports of Salerno, Genoa, La Spezia, Tripoli, Misurata, Alessandria and Benghazi with private calls from the La Spezia shipping company to Malta and Augusta

The La Spezia shipping company Tarros has announced a new scheduled service renamed Lex which connects Italy, Libya and Egypt, three markets historically always served by the group.

A note explains that “Tarros and Messina together” will work “to increase connections between Italy-Libya-Egypt with the new LEX service”.

The service will be active with two ships starting from mid-June 2024 approximately every 12 days and will connect the ports of Salerno, Genoa, La Spezia, Tripoli, Misurata, Alessandria and Benghazi.

Danilo Ricci, general manager of Tarros, said: “We are pleased to offer the Italian industry an even more efficient logistics corridor created with the Messina Line to which we have a history of fruitful collaboration.”

Tarros, on the same service, will also call at the ports of Malta and Augusta as a ‘private call’.
