Smoke bombs lit during Crotone-Benevento, Daspo for a Giallorossi fan

Ban on access to sporting events for a fan of Benevento: this is what was decided by the police commissioner Crotone who issued a one-year Daspo for a supporter of the Strega, guilty of having lit a smoke bomb during the match played last February 12th at the ‘Scida’ stadium and which ended with a 0-0 result. Two supporters of the rossoblù team were also hit with the same measure.

“The police commissioner of Crotone – we read in the note issued by the Police Headquarters – has issued three Daspo measures against two Crotone fans and one of Benevento, who, during the Crotone-Benevento football match, a match valid for the championship of Lega Pro-Group C, played on 12 February 2024 at the ‘E. Scida’ di Crotone, inside the curves intended for local and guest fans, they were involved in lighting smoke bombs in an area crowded with spectators, putting their safety at risk. For this fact, the three fans were reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Crotone Court by the local Digos who, also thanks to the images extrapolated from the stadium’s video surveillance system, processed by the Scientific Police, reconstructed the episode and identified those responsible , allowing staff from the Anti-Crime Police Division to carry out the relevant investigation for the preparation of the measure. The duration of the measures adopted in all three cases was determined to be one year, without further requirements”.
