On the evening of May 2the port of Reggio Calabria is preparing to welcome the cruise ship Bouganville, belonging to the fleet of the French company Ponant.
The ship is scheduled to arrive at 10pm. On board 184 passengers ready to explore the beauties of the city during their stop which will last until 6pm the following day.
The short stay of these tourists on the banks of the Strait can represent an important opportunity for the various commercial activities in the centre, the clubs and restaurants, the souvenir shops. A small “injection of confidence” for commercial businesses, which in recent days have also been pleasantly surprised by the influx of visitors arriving on Ryanair flights.
This arrival is not an isolated case, since the same cruise ship, the Bouganville, will return to visit the port of Reggio Calabria on May 9th, offering another opportunity during which the city will be able to benefit economically from the presence of cruise passengers. During this second visit, the ship will stop for the whole morning.
