Taranto: “BES-T Community in Best Practice” starts!

In favor of minors in Taranto and its province, from today there is the network of the “BES-T Community in Best Practice” project which intends to implement an innovative experimental project of social inclusion which aims to encourage a new relationship with the environment and involves cultural and creative businesses.

The initiative will be presented to the community in a public event to be held at 5.30 pm on Friday 3 May, in the Hall of Mirrors of Palazzo di Città di Taranto.

“BES-T Community in Best Practice” is a project selected by the Social Enterprise “Con i Bambini” as part of the Fund to combat child educational poverty, in particular through the “Tutti Inclusi” tender.

The project intends to encourage the inclusion of minors with sensory, motor, mental disabilities, Special Educational Needs (BES) and Specific Learning Disorders (DSA) and, at the same time, who share serious phenomena of educational and social poverty, operating in the territory of the province of Taranto, with a particular focus on the capital city, an area with high environmental risk.

This is the field in which the LOGOS Società Cooperativa has been mainly active for over ten years, managing a socio-educational center in Taranto that welcomes over thirty young people with autism – from 6 to 23 years old – and a physiokinesitherapy and neuropsychiatry clinic for the benefit of families of the community.

LOGOS Società Cooperativa is the entity responsible for the “BES-T Community in Best Practice” project which was joined by 20 institutions, schools, third sector bodies and other organizations which, with the signing of an educational pact for the creation of an educational community , aim to create the preconditions for cultural and social change in the territory.

The partners, in fact, together intend to activate a “widespread school” system in the area which leads to the definition of “Life Projects” for 300 minors with disabilities, BES and DSA, and which aims to encourage the full implementation of inclusion and the creation of an educating community.

We would like to invite all potentially interested families to this presentation event to whom the training and support contents dedicated to them will be illustrated, as well as all the recreational, recreational, sporting and social activities planned for their children, 1,800 of whom are disabled and able-bodied. , and volunteering and/or job shadowing activities at cultural and creative enterprises.

All teachers and experts in the sector are also invited to participate in the training and skills strengthening activities envisaged by the project.

Furthermore, the meeting will illustrate the innovative tools envisaged by the “BES-T Community in Best Practice” project, such as the Rescue Team, the transfer of skills on Augmentative Alternative Communication, the creation of technological aids and the strengthening of skills related to inclusive participatory methodologies in classrooms.

Moderated by the project manager Lucia Lazzaro, the presentation event will be attended by representatives of the responsible entity LOGOS Società Cooperativa, and of the partners: Municipality of Taranto, Province of Taranto, ASL Taranto, IC “Galilei”, IC “Vico-De Carolis ”, IISS “Archimede”, IISS “Liside”, Apulian Association for Retinitis Pigmentosa, Autistamente, Service Center for Volunteering of the Province of Taranto, Circolaboratorio Nomad, Soc.
