L’Social Territorial Area of Trani – Bisceglie intends to nominate its project in the public notice DesTEENation – Desires in action, to be financed from the resources of the National Inclusion and Fight against Poverty Program 2021-2027, approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies with Directorial Decree no. 69 of 21 March 2024.
The Notice is addressed to Social Territorial Areas (ATS) throughout Italy and provides for the establishment of multifunctional experience spaces for adolescents across the national territory for the provision of integrated services aimed at promoting, in boys and girls, autonomy and the ability to act in their own life contexts , participation and social inclusion. In Puglia only 5 Multifunctional Spaces will be financed.
The project will have the aim of encouraging participation, the development of potential, integration, social inclusion, the fight against school dropout and the enhancement of the emotional and relational skills of pre-adolescents and adolescents residing in its territory. To do this, it was decided to listen to the opinions of the boys and girls of the two cities, involving them in the decision-making processes that concern them, ensuring listening and participation from the first planning phase.
In the elementary schools of the cities of Trani and Bisceglie from today a form is being administered through which girls and boys in grades 4 and 5 will be able to tell their wishes.
