The conference, promoted by the Order of Surgeons and Dentists (Omceo) of Agrigento, scheduled for next Saturday, from 8.30am, in the Ciccio Geraci room at the Omceo headquarters in via Picone, is entitled “Autism spectrum disorder”. .
At the conference, under the direction of Santo Pitruzzella, president of Omceo Agrigento, and doctor Antonio Vetro, and by the scientific committee composed of doctors Anita Giuseppina Magro and Oriana Piazza and doctor Gioacchino Volpe, specialists in the sector will address important topics.
After greetings from President Pitruzzella; by Leonardo Giordano, director of the mental health department of the ASP; and Dario Scaglione, president of the Cts of Canicattì, Anita Giuseppina Magro and Oriana Piazza will discuss “Autism spectrum disorder: the diagnosis” while Gioacchino Volpe will talk about “Autism spectrum disorder: services and Asp of Agrigento”.
From 10.30am to 12.30pm, speeches by Floriana Navarra on “The LS pediatrician” are scheduled; by Nicolò Testone on “Early signs: neurodevelopmental disorder and autism spectrum disorder”; by Carmelina Galvano and Rossana La Porta on “The adult with autism spectrum disorder”.
After the break, the conference will continue with talks by Annalisa Vetro on “Genetics in autism spectrum disorder”; by Giovanni Panarisi on “Dentistry for people with autism spectrum disorder”; by Marta Infantino on “Cognitive behavioral therapies, the experience of the Canto di Ario day center – Aragon”.
