The idea of creating an ethical document from below is starting to take shape more and more, thanks to the sharing and dialogue of a group of journalists from Eastern Sicily.
In recent days, a meeting of the promoting committee of the “Modica Charter” was held, led by Pippo Cascio and our director Gianni Contino, among the various journalists who are trying in various capacities to make their own contribution to the future ethical text.
The meeting, held in person at the Euroform headquarters in Modica and simultaneously online, allowed us to take stock of the situation and what steps to take immediately so that the idea of the “Modica Charter” takes increasingly concrete shape.
The idea of the “Carta di Modica” born in the last year is the result of various training seminars organized on the role of the journalist in the sea of the web, it takes more and more shape and concreteness thanks also to the contribution of several colleagues, including Alessandra Brafa
The aim of the nascent “Modica Charter” is to increasingly respond to the need to bring order to online journalism, which today is too often the victim of misinformation.
