From tomorrow in Cosenza the “Wellbeing Month”

The second edition of the “Wellbeing Month”the series of meetings on prevention which, after last year’s success, the municipal administration, led by Mayor Franz Caruso, is once again proposing this year thanks to the happy intuition of the Health Councilor of Palazzo dei Bruzi, Maria Teresa De Marco .

“The objective – underlined in a joint statement by Mayor Franz Caruso and Councilor De Marco – is to open an important reflection in four appointments, on some of the most widespread health problems and on which it is essential to start a process of timely and careful prevention. Our Administration, as already happened last year, has the objective of ensuring that Cosenza becomes the city of prevention and well-being, both individual and collective, through adequate awareness raising aimed at promoting correct and balanced lifestyles.

The first appointment of the second edition of Wellbeing Month, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 3 May, has the theme “Beyond prevention – Vaccines as a public health tool”. Greetings from Mayor Franz Caruso, Councilor Maria Teresa De Marco and Angela D’Amato, President of the Italian Association of Women Doctors, Cosenza Section, who actively collaborates in the initiative, are expected. Speakers at the meeting will be Rossella Zucco, director of the Prevention Department of the ASP of Cosenza, the immunologist Francesco Zinno, the general practitioner and AFT KOS representative of Cosenza Tullio Chimenti and the researcher of the University of Calabria, Ortensia Parisi. The meeting will be moderated by Anna Laura Mattesini, event organizer.
