«Ilaria is quite well, today she was calm; we had a very peaceful exchange and laughed a lot which is good for both of us in this period. Now things are a little better” and thanks to the candidacy for the European Championships “he sees some light at the end of the tunnel”. Roberto Salis, father of Ilaria, the activist who has been imprisoned in Hungary for 15 months, declared this to Ansa on the sidelines of the concert on May 1st in Taranto. «We have to try them all – continued Salis – After all, what should we do with abuses? We need to find alternatives and clearly the rules are being bent a little here. If we can’t find other ways, we have to take what we have available.”

“I believe that voting for Ilaria is for the kids to vote for themselves, not so much for Ilaria but for themselves” Roberto Salis tells Ansa. “From this stage,” he added, “we send a message of hope, I would say, because we need to use solidarity to obtain what is needed for the new generations.” «It is a very important stage because here there is a generation that is very close to Ilaria’s and I believe that Ilaria’s story is particularly interesting because we have built a company in which we have ensured that a whole circle of talents and of new generations were excluded from society and instead it is wrong”, continued Salis, highlighting that “we cannot continue to have young people who do not go to vote, who distance themselves from the political struggle, who distance themselves from the management of the State”. For Salis “we need to find a way for these kids to enter the system and to be integrated one hundred percent”.
