Ternana loses a crazy match, the second in a row, and sees their rankings further complicated. After a wrong and soporific approach culminating with Odogwu’s goal, the Fere react and come back with Pereiro and Luperini. Molina’s disallowed goal saves the rossoverdi who end the first half with the lead. At the restart, a good goal from Casiraghi restores parity, then Luperini’s brace – with Casasola’s third assist of the day – gives hope to the rossoverdi left with 10 men following the (more than doubtful) expulsion of Boloca. The usual penalty for the hosts and the tap in by El Kaouakibi – who hadn’t scored for three years – condemned Ternana to perform the miracle in the last two days. Catanzaro arrives at Liberati on Sunday.
First half Breda fields an offensive formation with Distefano wide on the left in place of Carboni with Raimondo and Pereiro up front. The Fere, however, did not start well and suffered the push of the home team, who at the first opportunity passed with the gore of Odogwu who jumped over Boloca and put her down at seven. In the 15th minute the rossoverdi came close to equalizing with Raimondo arriving in splits following a corner but sending it to the outside of the net. In the 23rd minute Amatucci invents for Casasola who puts it in the middle for Pereiro’s running dish: the Uruguayan makes it 1-1. In the 33rd minute Casasola crossed from the right again for Luperini who came from behind and put it behind Poluzzi: 1-2 for the Fere after the initial disadvantage. In the 43rd minute the hosts combined well from the edge of the area and re-established the tie with Molina’s goal; however, the goal was annulled due to an arm check by Molina himself at the start of the action. Thus ends a first half that started with the handbrake on for Fere, who were then able to overcome the deficit with Pereiro and Luperini.
Second half On the first occasion of the second half the guests win a rebound with Casiraghi who then shoots and puts it under the crossbar: 2-2 at the start of the second half. In the 67th minute the Fere, left with 10 men due to Boloca’s expulsion, incredibly regained the lead again with the Pereiro-Casasola axis producing the third assist of the day for Luperini’s brace. In the 75th minute, however, Sorensen, who had just come on, caused a penalty foul on Odogwu and Casiraghi made no mistake: 3-3 to Druso. In the 85th minute the hosts shot from the edge and Vitali performed a true miracle and sent it to the post, but Südtirol was lucky and the ball hit the feet of El Kaouakibi who only had to push it in. It was the last chance of a daring match that the rossoverdi had restarted several times, even with 10 men, but which in the end condemned the Fere to a very tough situation in the standings.
