The winner of the national competition “adoption at school”
Gaeta, 1 May 2024 – In 2021 the contract was signed in Gaeta “Protocol for the right to education of adopted students” thanks to the collaboration of the Municipality of Gaeta, the International Adoptions Center and the local educational institutions, including the P. Amedeo Institute, directed in that year by Prof. Pierangela Ronzani.
On that occasion, like every year, schools were invited to participate in all of them activities that help raise awareness and grow the culture of adoption, including the competition promoted by the Italiaadozioni association “Adoption among school desks”.
Well, thanks to the ongoing relationship with the International Adoption Center of the Municipality of Gaeta, DS Ronzani has continued the work started in Gaeta in the Portici school. Already in November the institute she directed was included in the ‘Gaeta city of children’ project through a cultural twinning.
Today lThe ‘Don Bosco – Melloni’ Institute of Portici is the winner of the national competition “adoption among school desks”, earning first place among all the schools in Italy by participating with a video, created by some teachers and students, in which they talk about the prejudices, the effort but also the joy of a family that adopts a child. This is an achievement of the Portici school which is shared with the Municipality of Gaeta and the Center for International Adoptions which have been working for many years in the area to ensure that the topic of adoption is increasingly addressed and discussed in the school and social community. TOThe Director Ronzani and her entire teaching staff received compliments from the mayor of the city of Gaeta Cristian Leccese, the congratulations of the deputy mayor with responsibility for education, Gianna Conte as well as the best wishes of the lawyer.
