May Day in Brescia, thousands of people took to the streets.
Thousands of people in the square in Brescia
The procession that took place in Brescia this morning (Wednesday 1 May 2024) was made up of around 5 thousand people. The event has now become tradition and organized by the three main trade unions Cgil Cisl and Uil entitled this year “Let’s build together a Europe of peace, work and social justice” it started from Piazza Garibaldi and ended in Piazza Loggia. The speeches of the union delegates were held here.
May Day: the themes
At the center of their speeches were addressed topics such as stopping deaths at work, the fight against precarious employment, wages and the request for an increase. Issues such as the battle for women’s work and social justice are also placed at the center of attention.
