Syracuse basketball has officially entered the recruitment of 2025 four-star shooting guard Dante Allen from Florida, a top-100 national prospect who won a state title this past season and absolutely crushed things on the AAU circuit last weekend.
The 6-foot-4 Allen disclosed his new scholarship offer from the Orange coaching staff via a post on his Instagram page.
Allen is a standout junior at the Riviera Preparatory School in Miami. In grassroots basketball this spring and summer, he is competing for the 17U team of the Miami-based Nightrydas Elite in Nike’s EYBL league.
Last weekend, the EYBL held its first official session in Memphis, Tenn. While there, the Nightrydas Elite went 3-0, and Allen received high marks from national analysts and scouts for his performances.
By the way, a star for the Nightrydas Elite in its 16U division is 2026 five-star guard/small forward Alex Constanza, who holds an offer from the ‘Cuse and shines for the Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
According to recruiting services, beyond the Orange, Allen’s offer sheet includes teams such as Michigan, Villanova, Memphis, Miami, Florida Gulf Coast, UCF, LSU, Illinois, Creighton and Georgetown.
In the 2023-24 season for Riviera Prep, per MaxPreps, Allen averaged 21.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 3.0 assists per game, while he connected on 59 percent from the field, 45 percent from beyond the arc, and 83 percent from the free-throw line.
For his efforts, Allen scored numerous awards and honors. He was named the Miami-Dade 4A-2A player of the year and resided on the SBLive All-State first team in Florida. MaxPreps gave him an honorable-mention nod for its 2023-24 junior All-America teams.
Riviera Prep had a terrific most recent room. The Bulldogs went 25-8 overall and won their second consecutive Florida High School Athletic Association (“FHSAA”) Class 3A state tournament championship.
Following 2023-24, MaxPreps ranked Riviera Prep at No. 62 around the country and No. 4 in the Sunshine State.
Allen and his 17U teammates on Nightrydas Elite have captured back-to-back Peach Jam crowns on the EYBL circuit and seek a three-peat this spring and summer. At the first official Nike session last weekend in Memphis, Allen averaged 17.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.
For his play in Tennessee, the experts at The Circuit named Allen to their All-EYBL Session I second team. For the EYBL Web site, there will be three upcoming sessions in May, and then the annual Peach Jam event from July 13 to July 21.
