Yesterday, however, the State Police, delegated by the District Attorney of Naples, carried out a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against a person seriously suspected of extortion aggravated by the mafia method. The extortions were allegedly committed in Brusciano in the months of February and March 2024.
According to the investigations, the suspect threatened and used violence against an entrepreneur in the fuel distribution sector, forcing him to pay sums of money, to refuel the accused’s vehicle for free and to deliver cartons of cigarettes.
The entrepreneur, due to the threats and violence, was convinced that he was facing a Camorra organisation.
The order, carried out by personnel from the Naples Flying Squad and the Acerra Police Station, put an end to the harassment and threats suffered by the entrepreneur.
