UDINE. Yet another episode of violence in Udine against someone young man of about 20 years old. The incident occurred yesterday, Tuesday 30 April, shortly after 9.00 pm, in via Leopardi, outside a bar near the Udine bus station.
What happened
Some passers-by alerted the emergency services after noticing the young man in obvious difficulty, injured. Once on site, the medics provided initial treatment to the twenty-year-old, transporting her immediately at the Santa Maria della Misericordia hospital in code yellow, a classification that indicates a condition of medium severity. The woman – according to reports – may have remained involved in a fight. However, the police will now clarify what really happened, also by analyzing the images from the cameras and listening to any witnesses. Between these another young man injured and treated on site by health workers.
Investigations underway
The Udine Police Headquarters promptly launched an investigation to clarify the dynamics of the event and identify any perpetrators. At the moment, the police are collecting testimonies in the hope of reconstructing what happened and ensuring justice for the victim.
The attack has once again triggered a strong reaction among the residents of Borgo Stazione, many of whom are asking increased security measures in the areaabove all during the evening hours. The incident has reignited the debate on urban security.
