It’s about the promotion of a dental center, the Bludental in Corso Porta Mare. The one in Ferrara is just one of the over seventy operating structures in the national territory of the network dental centers born in 2009. “The company is based on fundamental values such as quality, safety and transparency of patient service” we read on the company’s social networks Bludental Clinique.
During the Sunday walk, a dentist who is a member of the group also receives the flyer Ferrara Dentist Register Commission, who, seeing the “cheap” offer for a specialist visit and teeth cleaning, did not hesitate to contact his colleagues for a joint evaluation. A first consideration from the President of the Commission: «In our opinion, the contents of that leaflet constitute a form of incorrect advertising under various profiles”, this is the introductory note of the doctor. Cesare Brugiapaglia. «The flyer deceives the potential patient about the accumulation of services (examination and cleaning of the teeth) at an attractive fee – explains the president of the Commission of the Register of Dentists of the Order of Doctors, Surgeons and Dentists of Ferrara –, without having no care to specify that not everyone can be subjected to such a service unless the dentist, following a careful examination and scrupulous medical history, has ascertained that there are no contraindications (cardiac or valvular pathologies, intake of some drugs, pacemaker wearers). If a citizen, after the foregoing, is denied the promised cleanliness, in order to avoid the onset of very serious pathologies and sometimes fatal, is the right to be reimbursed for the service not carried out to protect your health still recognised?
A significant detail for the Commission of the Register of Dentists, «because, especially in the healthcare sector, correct information must be provided and complete from which an explicit and valid consensus derives and not only aimed at deluding citizens with proposals that can attract attention because they are convenient and attractive”.
That the price of 29 euros for a specialist visit and teeth cleaning is far lower than the average costs for this service, it is not difficult to see and there is an aura of dumping surrounding the matter. They arrive from the Bludental center in Corso Porta Mare, which has been open for about a year reassuring information for dentists of the city, in particular for the Commission which called out the “incorrect advertising” and the lack of specifications for the reimbursement of the visit in the event of a service not being carried out to protect health. The 29 euros are a promotion which will continue for another month. Furthermore, if patients are unable to clean their teeth due to potential contraindications due to the ultrasonic tartar and plaque removal mechanisms, it will be the responsibility of the dental center in question opt for an oral hygiene treatment suitable for the patient and non-invasive.
