Trenitalia, changes to railway traffic on the Foligno-Orte line

· For infrastructural and technological upgrading works between Foligno and Orte – Bus service scheduled from 4 May to 8 June

(UNWEB) Perugia, – From 4 May to 8 June, infrastructural and technological upgrading works are planned on the Foligno – Orte line, in the section between Spoleto and Orte, which will lead to an improvement in the regularity of circulation and the quality of service for passengers .

During the course of the works, Trenitalia’s high-speed, Intercity and regional trains will undergo some changes to circulation, route diversions, limitations and cancellations.

HS TRAINS

The two Frecciargento trains on the Rome-Falconara Marittima-Rimini-Ravenna route will be canceled in the direction of Ravenna from 3 May to 7 June and in the direction of Rome from 4 May to 8 June.

IC TRAINS

· Intercity trains on the Milan-Terni route will be canceled on the Foligno-Terni route. Replacement bus connections are planned

· Intercity trains on the Rome-Ancona route will be diverted via Orte-Terontola with rescheduled timetables and elimination of the Terni and Spoleto stops. Replacement bus connections are planned

  • Intercity trains on the Rome-Perugia route will be diverted via Orte-Terontola with rescheduled timetables and elimination of stops on the Terni-Perugia Ponte San Giovanni route. Replacement bus connections are planned
  • The Rome-San Candido Intercity Night train of 7 June is routed via Orte-Florence-Bologna with rescheduled timetables and loss of the Terni stop; stops in Orvieto.

REGIONAL TRAINS

From May 4th, until 5 am on June 8th, the Trenitalia Regional trains of the indicated routes will undergo the following changes:

  • Ancona–Rome, Perugia–Rome respectively in the Ancona–Foligno, Perugia–Foligno and Terni–Rome routes may be subject to timetable changes.
  • On the Foligno–Terni route, bus trips are scheduled with remodulated timetables and stops in order to absorb the increased travel times related to road traffic.
  • The Terni–Rome route, in addition to some timetable remodulations, will undergo some cancellations of services and, finally, the new Regional 34773 Terni 8:24 – Rome Tiburtina 10:05 will be established.

The seats available on the buses, which will increase their travel times also in relation to road traffic, may be lower than the normal service offered, it is therefore advisable to consider replanning your trip. Bikes are not permitted on buses and large animals are not permitted except guide dogs for the blind.
