CASTELLANZA – From Davide Turriexpressed by the Municipality of Legnano, a Flavio Castiglioniwho had been nominated by the mayor of Castellanza Mirella Cerini. The assembly
The changing of the guard was sanctioned on Monday 20 May by the assembly of the Parco Alto Milanese consortiummeeting to approve the financial statement for the 2023 financial year. As per the regulations, after three years it was also the time to appoint the new president Flavio Castiglioni, expressed by the municipality of Castellanza. The delegate councilor for the municipality of Busto Arsizio was present Roberto Ghidottifor Legnano the councilor Lorena Fedelifor Castellanza the mayor regent Cristina Borroni. After three years of Presidency, the architect Davide Turri – appointed by Legnano – made the handover.
The three-year period concluded
I’m leaving today a cleaner and safer parkfrequented and experienced by many people and I am sure that we can continue along this line and obtain even better results – declares the outgoing president Davide Turri – they have been challenging years from 2021first of all for the period of the pandemic where the park became a safe place in the open air for many people who could not leave their municipalities, passing through extraordinary climatic events that have put the territory to the test. The management of the Park in recent years has been first and foremost focused on the “relationship park”encouraging use with various projects including the Room in the Woods, the Green Library of the Park, the Bosco dei Camminithe new signs and publications, without neglecting important investments in decorum and safety, one for all the integrated video surveillance system in coordination with the local police.

The new president Flavio Castiglioni, fresh from being reconfirmed as representative of the Municipality of Castellanza until the new mayor takes office after the spring elections, expresses gratitude for the trust that has been placed in me on behalf of the consortium assembly, and above all, I would like to remember the person who gave me the opportunity to hold this important role, the mayor Mirella Cerini. I firmly believe that the future of the Alto Milanese park must be written and told together, listening and involving all voices. Together, we can work to ensure our park remains a safe, welcoming and inspiring place for all. That’s my intention work with transparency, dedication and the utmost respect for the environment that hosts us. However, I cannot do this alone. The success of our park depends on the collaboration of all of us, starting from the board of directors, the technicians and employees of the consortium, the farmers and the citizens. I therefore invite each of you to consider yourself a guardian of this wonderful place, contributing, in your own small way, to making a difference. I look to the future with optimism, convinced that together we will be able to face the challenges that await us, enhancing our natural heritage and making the Alto Milanese Park a model of sustainability, inclusion and beauty.
