There’s very little left until Labor Day and there will be no shortage of opportunities for fun and entertainment. But where to go to eat a fixed menu to spend a different day than usual? From the train of flavors to trips out of town with product tastings to restaurants and trattorias, here is an itinerary of unmissable taste. We specify that this is not a ranking but a guide drawn up on the basis of the social publications of the interested parties.

May 1st in Pietrapennata . Tour to discover the village starting from 10.30am. This will be followed at 1pm by an outdoor lunch with typical local products with appetizer, first course, second course, fruit, desserts, water, wine, 30 euros per person. Treasure hunt and excursion planned.

Flavor Train from Reggio Calabria in direction Bagnara. Special opportunity to discover the main production activities of the Pearl of the Costa Viola and taste the typical local products by participating in the Swordfish Festival between taste and tradition.

In Casareccia Pellaro. Here for the May 1st celebration you can enjoy appetizers, two first courses of macaroni and lasagna; second courses of meat and side dishes: baked potatoes, icebarg. Drinks included 35 euros per person.

Balance 13 to Pellegrina. For May 1st we have appetizers, from cured meats to pipi chini through to aubergine meatballs; first course orecchiette with sauce with meatballs; second mixed grill, porchetta and baked potatoes. Water and wine included 30 euros per person.

Masseria Adornato in Rizziconi. We start with a grand aperitif buffet followed by an appetizer and first courses: strozzapreti with crispy speck and brunoise of seasonal vegetables; second leg of pork with dried fruit. Homemade potatoes side dish. Chef’s delicacy dessert. Drinks included adults 38 euros and baby menu 22 euros.

In Terre di Vasìa Serrata. The farmer’s lunch is scheduled here. Starting from 11am, however, the children will be the protagonists of cultivating a small piece of land. This will be followed by a convivial lunch with local products to enjoy the good seasonal foods that the land provides. There are no costs for children as long as they do not use cell phones or other electronic games. Cost for adults 20 euros including wine.
