ALEXANDRIA – The economic-financial situation of the Province of Alessandria is improving. As explained by Palazzo Ghilini, the management report for the year 2023 recorded “a positive result that exceeds the expectations established by the financial rebalancing plan approved by the Ministry of the Interior and subsequently by the Court of Auditors on 27 April 2023″: “With an improvement in the composition of the administrative result of 1,696,513.00 euros – added Palazzo Ghilini – the Province exceeded what was previously established by 385,227.00 euros”.
The 2023 management report was presented yesterday during thethe meeting of Mayors which was held at the Marengo auditorium and for Palazzo Ghilini highlights “the considerable commitment on the part of all structures, both technical and political, in keeping the organisation’s finances in balance, which is fundamental to guarantee the correct performance of its functions”.
Among the highlights of the 2023 management report are the investments made as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with particular attention toschool buildings. With 34 upper secondary schools and over 15,800 students in the province of Alessandria, they have been work started in 14 different buildings, with a total investment of over 16 million euros. Furthermore, they were four gyms built or expanded in as many school buildings, thus contributing to improving the infrastructure available to students in Novi, Tortona, Acqui Terme and Ovada. In addition to investments in school buildings, the PNRR has seen the allocation of funds for interventions on provincial roads and bridges, for a total of over 5 million euros. These structural interventions were carried out in the municipalities of Gavi, Montechiaro, Cavatore, Ricaldone, Bistagno and Arquata Scrivia, thus contributing to improving the viability and safety of the provincial road network.
“The positive result in the 2023 management report testifies to the effective work carried out by this provincial administration in pursuing financial objectives and investing in projects that improve the quality of life and infrastructure in the provincial territory – declared the President of the Province – The contribution of the secretary Sante Palmieri, the manager Sara Marchetti and all the staff of the organization was significant for this result”.
