There are just a few days left until the show debuts at the Ariston Theater in Trapani “Bernalda Alba’s house”, by Federico García Lorca, directed by Piero Indelicato. The event, scheduled for Wednesday May 8th at 9pm, is carried out in collaboration with the Co.Tu.Le.Vi. Association. Against All Violence, and the Rotary Club of Trapani. The protagonists will be, once again, Irene Bonanno, Ida Luppino, Alba D’Angelo, Claudia Mangiagli, Emilia Catalano, Oriana Spina, Valentina Stallone, Caterina Schifano and Giusy Gandolfo, already applauded with enthusiasm and emotion at the Rivoli Theater in Mazara del Vallo , with the addition, for this occasion, of Mariella Gulotta and Silvia Rizzo.

The adaptation and translation into the Sicilian language were handled by Vincenzo Catanzaro, who recently passed away, to whom the theatrical performance was dedicated.
Set in Rural Spain in the 1930s, the show narrates the claustrophobic condition of Bernarda Alba’s five daughtersforced after the death of their father to spend a long period of mourning subject to their mother’s strict rules: the girls are not allowed to go out or have relationships with the opposite sex.

As for Mazara in the month of March, Piero Indelicato’s hope is to be able to fill the theater in Trapani in order to experience a moment of great shared emotion and get to know the extraordinary Spanish poet, who wrote the work in 1936, up close. , a few months before his death, which has conflict as its main theme. First of all, the one between authoritarian morality and the thirst for freedom of the new generations, suffocated by the desire to maintain a façade of dignified appearance. A criticism of the hypocrisy and respectability that still make it relevant.
Set design by Guglielmo Barbaresi, Lighting by Peppe Prinzivalli, Audio Franco Giacalone, Special Effects PPS, Assistant director Giacomo Mangiaracina.
