On the eve of the championship match against Reggiana, at home Modena the coach spoke at the press conference Pierpaolo Bisoli. These are some of his statements, taken from the official detective story website:
The liberation from the victory: “After the victory against Sudtirol I perceived in the boys, but not only, a new sense, as if we had taken off a 5 kilo backpack that we were carrying on our shoulders. And in fact in the training sessions of the last few days I have seen a more mentally free team, always determined, but more joyful.”
On the quality of the game: “Football must be about concentration and not tension. Serenity allows you to make plays that often fail in the most complicated moments. Can the fact of winning in Reggio Emilia since 1950 weigh on you? We just have to think about playing our game, giving our best as our fans will do in the stands.”
On the opponent: “The two teams have very similar numbers. Reggiana was built to have a good championship like Modena, they found themselves in a particular ranking position and reacted. He has had an ups and downs, but has demonstrated his qualities on many occasions, going on to win for example in Venice and Palermo. We will find a team with important values. Modena must respect them, but playing with the awareness of having collected 4 points in 2 matches that were not at all obvious. Let’s face the derby with more certainty and I hope that it will be played in an atmosphere of loyalty, on and off the pitch.”
