Voters suffering from very serious infirmities that make it impossible for them to leave their home and voters who find themselves in continuous and vital dependence on electro-medical equipment may be admitted to vote at home.
To exercise the right to vote at home, voters must send it to the Mayor of the Municipality of Cesena, between the fortieth and twentieth day before the voting date, i.e. between Tuesday 30 April and Monday 20 May 2024a declaration on plain paper certifying the desire to vote in the home in which they live (art. 1 of Legislative Decree no. 1 of 3 January 2006 converted, with amendments, by Law no. 22 of 27 January 2006 as amended by law 7 May 2009 n. 46).
The application, as per the attached form, must contain the complete address of the home where the voter lives and a telephone number for any subsequent communication.
The following must be attached to the application form:
- copy of the electoral card
- copy of a valid identity document
- certificate, issued within the prescribed deadlines, by the medical officer designated by the competent ASL bodies, certifying possession of the requirements for admission to home voting*
*The verification of the requirements for the purpose of voting must be ascertained by the medical official designated by the ASL, with a certificate dated no earlier than the forty-fifth day before the date of the vote, which certifies the existence of the conditions of infirmity referred to in point 1, with a prognosis of at least sixty days starting from the date of issue of the certificate, or conditions of continuous and vital dependence on electro-medical equipment referred to in point 2.
