Tragedy at work late this morning in Fiume Veneto. A 69-year-old worker who was operating a crane on a truck died after being hit by the machinery, while he was working to lift some materials. It happened shortly after 11am in a farmyard in via Kennedy.
According to an initial reconstruction, the man would have been hit by the crane’s forks to the head and was violently thrown to the ground, although the exact dynamics are still being verified. Medical workers immediately responded to the scene of the accident with an ambulance, medical vehicle and helicopter. However, despite the joint efforts of rescuers, it was not possible to save the man’s life. The firefighters and the police were also present.
The victim was working for a construction company that had been contracted for some work. Also present were the police and health authority inspectors.
