Today the union will send yet another note signed by the regional secretary Gianluca Ghisaura addressed to institutions. “We will never tire of repeating and reiterating that the prison police are not trained and prepared to act as Guarantor of persons deprived of liberty, as a psychologist, as an educator, as a social worker or similar, in addition to uniformed staff. These are the figures that are missing and should be be increased and employed within the detention sections. We as a union will never fail to stand by the penitentiary policemen, but we would like them to demonstrate the same presence and closeness to the policemen together with us the central administrationthe regional one, the Directorates and Commands as well as politics”, concludes Melis.
