“We need a good coach, not necessarily a young one, it’s not a question of formations: 4-3-3, 3-5-2, each coach adapts his idea to the material he has at his disposal, finally the fans are not very interested in the formation, they need to see intensity, attachment and competitiveness on the pitch. Knowing how to adapt to your opponent is good, but in my opinion imposing your own game is better.”

Subsequently, Rafa Benitez also indulged in a passage about the year that is about to end, experienced with a thousand difficulties in the blue house, with the protagonists of the scudetto sucked by the weight of the latter and by some corporate choices that turned out to be less than impeccable:

“Knowing how to replace Spalletti due to his quality and empathy with the square would have been complicated for anyone. Napoli lost key players in key moments, when depth and experience would have been needed, when this happens and the average quality of the squad is not so high, a negative mechanism is triggered.
