TERMOLI. With great enthusiasm we announce the launch of the third edition of the Blue Marina Awards, an initiative aimed at promoting excellence, sustainability, innovation, safety and tourist hospitality in Italian ports and tourist landing places. This one-of-a-kind event emphasizes the sea as an element that unites, without distinctions of winners or losers, but with the common goal of improvement and growth of the sector.

To participate you need to register on the website www.bluemarinaawards.com which will automatically send the instructions and the link to the RINA platform where you will need to answer the questions and upload the evidence no later than October 18, 2024.

Through the initiative, participants will be able to verify their state of the art and obtain a certification mark recognized at European level.

The BLUE MARINA AWARDS are part of a strategic initiative to support and accompany the tourist port sector in a process of growth and improvement with the aim of becoming centers of excellence on the national scene.

With the BLUE MARINA AWARDS, our ports will not only grow in terms of quality and services, but will become true catalysts for new business, tourism and culture prospects, establishing themselves as a key sector for Italian economic growth, attractor of tourist flows and generator of well being. For this third edition, a technical-scientific committee has been created, each question is subject to scoring, for each question with an affirmative answer the participant must upload evidence and assumes responsibility for the answers given, under penalty of exclusion in the event of untruthful answers provided. , each question linked to the various themes (tourist hospitality, sustainability, innovation, safety) has different weights. The Blue Marina certification mark will be awarded to structures that exceed a summation of scores greater than 70% for ports and 55% for landing places.

The last edition saw the participation of 100 out of 285 structures, with extraordinary results and unanimous praise from the main institutions, including the European Commission. This year, with the introduction of new criteria and the support of a cutting-edge online platform managed by RINA, we expect even wider participation. The awards will take place in a final event by the end of November 2024, the date and location of which will be announced soon.
