We inform you, in respect of the rights of the suspects (to be considered presumed innocent in consideration of the current phase of the proceedings – preliminary investigations – until a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence) and in order to guarantee the constitutionally guaranteed right of reporting that the Carabinieri of the station Tivoli Terme 3 Roma citizens seriously suspected of the crime have reported recipe in competition.
A tourist visiting the archaeological site of Villa Adriana in Tivoli, while having lunch in a local restaurant, found his BMW X3 with its windows smashed and his luggage stolen. Fortunately, an “Air Tag” device had been inserted into the wallet, which allowed the stolen goods to be located inside Albuccione nomad camp, in Guidonia Montecelio. When 112 was contacted, the Carabinieri at Tivoli Terme station immediately took action to recover the stolen luggage. The careful searches carried out inside the camp allowed the Carabinieri to find all the stolen goods inside a shack in the presence of a 26-year-old man and two women aged 28 and 22, all of Roma origin.
The recovered material was immediately returned to its rightful owners, who warmly thanked the military for their rapid and effective intervention.
Furthermore, the Carabinieri have found a large quantity of objects, most likely also the proceeds of theft, for which in-depth investigations are underway to trace the owners, including more than ten trolleys, two laptops, a camera, numerous work tools and also medical instruments.
The three subjects were reported for receiving stolen goods to the Tivoli Public Prosecutor’s Office.
