ANCONA – Yesterday evening April 29th, around 11pm, the police intervened near the Torrette hospital following a report of a quarrel between a mother and son.

The two, Italians aged around 30 and 60, both appeared worried when the police arrived and in particular the the boy reported that he had been convinced by his parents to be taken to hospital after feeling ill. In fact, the young man, despite feeling unwell, initially did not want to be examined by a doctor and, only following his parents’ insistence was he convinced to follow them. Once they arrived at the hospital, however, the man immediately became upset as he said he was tired and did not want to wait but instead wanted to go home immediately. From here a heated verbal argument arose between the mother and her son, and in particular the former tried to reassure him and convince him to be examined.

The police officers who intervened initially brought the situation back to normal and subsequently interacting with the boy, calmed him down and, after a long chat, convinced him to return to the hospital to be examined. Once the young man’s mother had also calmed down, the police resumed their normal control of the area.
