Here is the concert of the First of May in Legnano

Unions present Labor Day concert

Legnano – The city of the Carroccio like Rome. This year too Legnano, in fact, will have its concert on May 1st, organized, also in this case, by the unions. The appointment will be on Wednesday afternoon after the morning trade union procession, at the Tirinnanzi theater in Piazza IV Novembre: initially we thought about the Falcone e Borsellino park, but the bad weather forecast convinced us to move everything indoors. It will start at 2pm with a competition for emerging bands and the final show by the Emilians Bper.

The program includes, out of competition, the opening performance of the very young people Space Ado. We will continue with the contest for emerging groups with The wetdogs, the lives of others, the Noise Lab Band, the Magic Thursday, the Homecoming125, the Mea Culpa and the Reparto Grandi Stonati. They will be judged on their own pieces and covers by the jury composed of the artistic director Stefano Re, Roberto Billiani and Laura Bonomo. The presenter will be the popular comedian from Legnano Max Pisu. Everything is organized by CGIL, CISL and UIL with the collaboration of UILDM and the Mazzafame neighborhood laboratory.

We wanted a different May 1st – explains the local secretary of the CGIL, Mario Principe – pThis is why after the morning procession we wanted a musical moment with the desire to promote the music of the area. However, it will be an opportunity to talk about work”. “May Day is an important theme for us trade unionists – intervenes Luigi Tripodi of the Uil – and for this reason we wanted to expand to all citizens: we thought that giving space to young bands could be a good idea”.

The only regret is not having been able to do the show outdoors but unfortunately with the weather conditions of the last few months you can’t joke. The idea of trade union forces and associations is to make it a fixed event over the years, so that Legnano can also have its big concert. The show will obviously be free entry like the one in the capital.
